It cannot >get any easier than this, The hardest part is buying the ingredients, look for the reddest tomato's but make sure that they are still firm we don't want the juice to spurt all over the place when we cut them into slices and go out of your way to find the freshest Mozzarella you can as it is normally made from milk that has not been pasteurised.

A Bit of History

>Mozzarella or Buffalo Mozzarella as it should correctly be called is as the name says made from the milk of a water buffalo, that's right the big thing with even bigger horns. How they find people brave enough to milk them i don't know but that's another story. The origin of the stuff like most foods is a little unclear but it was certainly very popular around the early 1600s in southern Italy. Apparently the cheese is ball shaped because one day some fell in a bucket of water when it was being made and formed a ball shape.

What Wine?

Its got to be cold, Its got to be crisp and its got to be Chardonnay.

Stock Ingredients

  • 30ml Olive
  • Oil Sea
  • Salt

Shopping List

  • 2 or 3 Firm Bright Red Slicing Tomatoes
  • 2Balls of Buffalo Mozzarella
  • Basil
  • Crusty Bread
